Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – International Arrival Half-Day Tours (Tuesday)

• Arrival in Port Moresby

• Transfer to Aku Lodge for refreshment

• Guided city tour including:

  • Parliament Haus

  • National Museum

  • Nature Park (lunch included)

  • National Orchid Garden

  • Hanubada Fish Market

  • Scenic drive through Hanubada village

• Return to Aku Lodge

Day 2 – Air Transfer to Daru (Wednesday)

• Breakfast and airport transfer

• Flight from Port Moresby to Daru (arrival at 11:30 AM)

• Check-in at Suri Lodge (lunch provided)

• Afternoon guided tour including:

  • Western Provincial Assembly Building

  • Octavio Trade School

  • Ta'wo Lookout Point

  • Final drive to fish (incomplete text)

Day 3 – Air Transfer to Suki (Thursday)

• Breakfast and airport transfer

• Flight with MAF to Giwa strip in Suki (DAU–Suki), arriving at 10:30 AM

• Transfer via outboard motor to Suki Lodge

• Welcome ceremony by Suki Head Hunter Dancers

• Lunch at the lodge

• Afternoon activities:

  • Single canoe canoeing

  • River wash & swimming

Day 4 – Fly River Swamp Black Water Black Bass Fishing, Bird Watching & Hunting (Friday)

• Breakfast at 6:00 AM

• Transfer via outboard motor to Fly River Cruise

• Arrival at Kiunga Creek campsite by 7:00 AM

• Activities:

  • Fishing

  • Bird watching

• Lunch at the campsite

• Return to Suki Lodge by 3:30 PM

• Dinner at 6:00 PM

Day 5 – Fly River Swamp Black Water Black Bass Fishing, Bird Watching & Hunting (Saturday)

• Breakfast at 6:00 AM

• Transfer via outboard motor to Fly River Cruise

• Arrival at Kiunga Creek campsite by 6:30 AM

• Activities:

  • Fishing

  • Bird watching

• Lunch at the campsite

• Return to Suki Lodge by 3:30 PM

• Dinner at 6:00 PM

Day 6 – Fly River Swamp Black Water Black Bass Fishing, Bird Watching & Hunting (Sunday)

• Breakfast around 6:00 AM

• Transfer via outboard motor to Fly River Cruise

• Arrival at Kiunga Creek campsite by 7:00 AM

Day 7 – Suki Orchid Queen & Craft Weaving (Monday)

Morning Activities:

• 6:00 AM – Breakfast

• 7:00–8:00 AM – Visit to Nakaku Preschool, Elementary, and Primary School

  • Welcome, greet and meet sessions

  • Flag raising and national anthem

• 8:00–9:00 AM – Mr & Miss Suki Orchid Queen Presentation

  • Showcase of traditional Suki Tribe orchid woven craft products

  • Explanation of the traditional orchid craft weaving process

  • Q&A session and photography

Midday Activities:

• Transfer to Women's Resource Centre in Nakaku Station

  • Greet and meet sessions with Pukada and Keru Village Women

  • Observation of:

    • Orchid craft weaving

    • Traditional storytelling

    • Sharing of women's craft and survival experiences

    • Photography

• Lunch at the Resource Centre

Afternoon Activities:

• Return to the lodge

• Transfer for village experience up Suki Creek to:

  • Riti, Ewe, Kautru, and Gwoku villages

  • Activities include:

    • Bush tracking

    • Game fishing

    • Bird watching

    • Hunting

    • Camping

Day 8 – Air Transfer to Daru, Game Fishing & Dugout Canoe Sailing (Tuesday)

• Morning:

  • Breakfast

  • Transfer to Gigwa airstrip

  • Flight with MAF to Daru (Suki → Daru), arriving at 10:30 AM

  • Transfer to hotel room at Baa Lodge for refreshment

• Afternoon:

  • Lunch

  • Dugout canoe sailing to Pomogu Village

    • Visit Daru Tribe women broom weaving

    • Welcome by Dorogoi Village Dancers

    • Enjoy coconut juice/fruit

    • Storytelling about traditional fishing, hunting, gardening, and crabbing

    • Beach walk and swimming

  • Transfer to Daru Island, arriving at 5:00 PM

  • Return to hotel room

Day 9 – Air Transfer to Port Moresby & International Travel (Wednesday)

• Breakfast

• Transfer to airport

• Flight with Air Niugini to Port Moresby (Daru → POM), arriving at 2:00 PM

• Connect to international flight

• Peak travel months in Papua New Guinea:
